Whirlscape, the Toronto-based company of the successful tiny keyboard called Minuum for Android devices, has been working hard to rebuild their product to be ready to launch with iOS 8. In the first two weeks of availability,Whirlscape has sold more than 30,000 apps to the new iPhone audience. 

No keyboard, no problem. Minuum, a company that makes a single-line Android keyboard app, announced plans to bring its technology to Google Glass.

Google Glass can do a lot of things, but until now it was mostly limited to single tap, scroll or voice-based input. Now, there’s a keyboard for Glass, courtesy of Toronto-based startup Whirlscape and their Minuum software input app.

A company called Whirlscape has a number of keyboard options available for various devices and gadgets. It also just released a keyboard option for Google Glass users who previously had to rely purely on voice dictation for commands and text.

One Canadian startup has developed a unique piece of software that increases the usability of the smartwatch. The Minuum, developed by fledgling Toronto company Whirlscape, enables smartwatch users to type out messages and memos on their wrists using a fully functional, yet miniscule, keyboard.

Whirlscape’s virtual keyboard software Minuum is exiting beta today with the launch of version 2.0, which changes up the look of the minimal input software, and adds quick access to emoji, plus text sharing across apps. The underlying tech also gets improvements, which means that both speed and accuracy are improved.
